With over 1300 pages, and a really good Search tool, this site is a labor of love and devotion, and an incomparable resource which Wahiduddin has offered to the world. All of Hazrati Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan’s published teachings, collectively named The Sufi Message volumes, as well as selected unpublished teachings, are available here.
Searching for a particular word or phrase will return all of the places in the material where that word/phrase appears, accompanied by sufficient surrounding text to provide enough context to determine if it is, indeed, the passage one is searching for. In addition, links to the original larger document are provided, as well as an option to highlight the search term/s so they are much easier to see.
Looking for print copies of Hazrat Inayat Khan’s teachings?
New, hard- and soft-cover copies of the published Sufi Message Series volumes are, more often than not, out of print and unavailable for years at a time. Used copies can be difficult to find, and they can sometimes be prohibitively expensive from individuals who are willing to sell their used copies. While rarely a source for the complete series of volumes, Amazon has continued to be a good place to begin searching for affordable used copies of individual volumes.
NOTE: Over the years, when material has been re-published, rather than simply being a reprint of existing volumes, at times some of the topics and subjects included under a particular volume title (or volume number) are not the same collection of topics and subjects which appeared in a previous publication/printing. In addition, some new volumes have been produced which collect together topics and subjects which previously appeared in separate volumes.
Because of occasional topic and subject shuffling in newer publications, if you’re looking for particular topics or subjects rather than original hard-cover volumes, don’t rely on the original volume names or numbers alone. The original volume may be unavailable, while a newer, available collection may contain the topic or subject you’re interested in finding.
